After two hours on the shore my fingers are cold, the tide is now receeding and I have absorbed the atmosphere so that upon returning my impressions of my day can be compared with with the pastel brought home.

A Calm Day

In the studio, some detail work and adjustment of the seagrass, also contrast is heightened in foreground, lessened in background. The pastel gets small tweeks over the following week , it gets cropped to a standard size (in this case 18 x 24") then signed.
