Tutorial 012: Finishing off leather cord

Step 3: Create the simple hook clasp
Take a length of 18 (or thicker) gauge wire of about 4 inches and create a loose spiral at one end. Bend the other end backwards, forming a hook.

Step 4: Finish off the ends and flatten
Coil the very tip of the hook so it will not hurt the wearer and then flatten the entire piece with a chasing hammer over metal, to make it sturdier. Attach a jump ring to the spiral part.
