"Laying Dog"

This dog portrait is one of a series of thirteen from our starter pack range.

Stage 5
I have applied 176, then 199 to complete the nose, adding the same colours carefully to strengthen the area underneath. I applied 101 to the ear, paw and shoulder area, darkening the head with 176 to gain contrast.
Stage 6
Using the mid tone colours, 184, 187 & 273 strengthen the ear to contrast with the shoulder. When the ear and shoulders are complete use 187 and 176 to bring the fur over the top of the shoulder as shown.
Stage 7
101 was generously applied to the base and rubbed in well with my finger, then 184 was applied on top of 101 and blended in. A little 187 can then be applied but restrict this to the outer edges and blend in. Add more 187 then 176 to create the shadow area under the body, ear, etc.
